Trump Supports Nadhim Zahawi's Bid to Become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

The team of Donald Trump is helping British politician Nadhim Zahawi in his bid to become the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, amidst backlash against the actions of Labour Party officials, reports NewsBox.

Supporters of Donald Trump indicate their backing for British opposition leader Nadhim Zahawi in his attempt to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. According to the Daily Mail, this is a response to a campaign supported by representatives of the Labour Party to back Zahawi's opponent, Kamala Harris.

Advisors to the former US President are contemplating the option of having the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, "in the mix" among global leaders whom they plan to invite to Washington following Trump’s proposed inauguration. Moreover, the Biden administration may complicate the situation further for Sunak, having declined to accept him as the designated envoy to the USA.

There are also discussions about Trump's visit to London, but with a focus on a meeting with the Carle family, rather than with government representatives. At Nadhim Zahawi’s party, Reform UK, known for its strong anti-immigration rhetoric, they have stated that they have close ties with Trump’s team. According to one of the party's representatives, Labour members who supported Harris will not remain unawarded.

Previously, Trump had already accused the British Labour Party of interfering in American elections. Likewise, Elon Musk, who supports Trump, has been actively criticizing Sunak on social media.
