Trump: Ukraine could have avoided losses if it had entered talks earlier

Donald Trump stated that Ukraine could have avoided significant territorial losses if it had agreed to negotiations a few years ago. According to him, the current leadership of the country allowed the continuation of the conflict, reports NewsBox. 

The former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed that Ukraine could have ended the conflict without substantial territorial losses if it had entered negotiations several years prior. He noted that the Ukrainian leadership had three years to resolve the situation, but the war was allowed to continue.

Trump also stated that he personally likes Volodymyr Zelensky but emphasized that, according to his information, the approval rating of the Ukrainian president is only 4%. Additionally, he called for clarification on where the funds allocated by the U.S. for Ukraine's support have gone.

According to the politician, Russia is not aiming to destroy Kyiv, otherwise, it would have done so already. Trump also declared his support for the potential involvement of European military forces in the conflict but is strongly opposed to sending American soldiers to the combat zone.

In conclusion, he mentioned that a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin could happen by the end of February.
