U.S. Secretary of State Rubio: The War in Ukraine Must End

New U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has emphasized the urgent need to end the war in Ukraine, describing the conflict as a stalemate and stressing the importance of diplomacy, reports NewsBox. 

Marco Rubio, who recently assumed the role of U.S. Secretary of State, made a statement about the conflict in Ukraine within hours of his appointment. Appearing on Good Morning America, he characterized the situation as a deadlock and highlighted that a primary goal of U.S. policy will be to work towards bringing the conflict to a conclusion.

Rubio noted that while the United States will continue to support Ukraine, he did not specify the exact form this support will take. He described the conflict as complex and tragic, emphasizing that it was initiated by Vladimir Putin and that its repercussions have affected not only Ukraine and Russia but also Europe's stability.

"The only way to address these challenges is to get back to pragmatism, but we also need to return to seriousness, and this requires the hard work of diplomacy. The United States must play its part here," he stated, underscoring that significant efforts are essential to achieve peace.
