"Putin is Ruining Russia!" – Trump's Bold Statement
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is "ruining Russia" by refusing to sign a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine, reports NewsBox.
In a conversation with journalists, President Trump remarked that Putin is "ruining Russia" due to his unwillingness to stop the war in Ukraine. He pointed out that the conflict, which many expected to be brief, has already been ongoing for three years.
"He needs to make a deal... I believe Russia will face significant problems," Trump said in the Oval Office of the White House.
In his view, the Russian leader cannot be satisfied with the current state of affairs.
Trump also emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to engage in talks to end the conflict. Furthermore, the American leader announced plans for a personal meeting with Putin, which is currently being arranged.
"We will try to do this as quickly as possible. You know, Russia's war with Ukraine is overall..." Trump declared.
When asked about his promise to end the war on his first day in office, he jokingly added that he still has "half a day left" to achieve this.
