New Tax on Restaurants: Saratov Requires Funding for "SVO" Support

The authorities of the Saratov Region have addressed the restaurants with a requirement to transfer 0.2% of their revenue monthly to support participants in the special military operation (SVO). This is discussed in a letter sent to the owners of the relevant establishments.

The content of the letter became known thanks to Elena Pavlova-Rusinova, the owner of the "Dacha" restaurant, who shared it in one of the closed restaurant chat groups. The document specifies that funds must be transferred to the account of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the region. Officials also emphasize that information should be provided to all industry representatives.

They request regular financial assistance for SVO participants. An account has been opened, requesting 0.2% of the revenue monthly, — noted Pavlova-Rusinova in her message.

The letter sparked a significant reaction among businesses, with some expressing concerns about the additional financial burden on their operations.
