Air Defense Activated in Lipetsk: Reports of Explosions and Flashes

The air defense system (ADS) was activated in Lipetsk, with reports of several explosions and bright flashes in the sky on the outskirts of the city, according to NewsBox.

Eyewitnesses told SHOT about a series of two to six explosions accompanied by bright flashes observed on the outskirts of Lipetsk. Preliminary reports indicate that the air defense system was triggered. No information regarding casualties or damage from the incident has been reported so far.

The governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, declared a red level of terrorist threat in connection with the attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Measures for electronic warfare and air defense have been activated in the region.

According to available information, at least one UAV was destroyed. Emergency services have been dispatched to the scene. Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors whenever possible and avoid approaching windows.
