In Perm, the court found SVR veteran and former Rosgvardiya employee Alexey Golovin guilty of murder with exceptional cruelty. The man was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony for the murder of Evgeny Seredkin, the head of the investigative department for the Sverdlovsk region of Perm.

The tragedy occurred on September 9, 2024. According to the investigation, Golovin cut off the electricity in Seredkin's apartment to lure him into the basement. When the man approached the electrical panel, Golovin attacked him with a stun baton, delivering 81 strikes. Witnesses to the incident included the children of the deceased, who escaped screaming. Golovin did not stop even in their presence, after which he called emergency services 112, reportedly confessing to the crime and waiting for the police to arrive.

Investigators found that Golovin had a personal motive. According to his wife Elena, the former spouse of Seredkin, he had previously displayed cruelty towards her. In 2023, he threatened her in their apartment, attempting to destroy her clothes.

Earlier, Alexey Golovin served in the SOBR of Rosgvardiya and participated in combat operations in Ukraine. During the full-scale invasion, he operated in the "SVR" zone for about a year.
