Business Partner of Ukraine's Wealthiest Individual Charged with High Treason

Vadim Novinsky, the business partner of Rinat Akhmetov, has been charged with high treason, as reported by the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine. NewsBox shares this information.

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine has released the details of the charges regarding high treason involving a former member of the Verkhovna Rada, who represented the banned party 'Opposition Bloc'.

The name of the suspect is not mentioned in the official announcement; however, according to reports from 'Ukrainska Pravda' and 'RBK-Ukraine', the individual in question is linked to Orthodox businessman Vadim Novinsky, recognized as a business associate of Ukraine's richest person, Rinat Akhmetov.

The investigation asserts that since 2014, Novinsky has actively spread pro-Russian ideas through media publications, statements at public events, and posts on social networks. These actions, according to the SBI's version, aimed to support Russian interests on Ukrainian territory.
