U.S. and Denmark Conflict: Trump Persistently Demands Greenland

During a conversation with Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed that he is quite serious about his intentions regarding Greenland, reports NewsBox

The American President Donald Trump had a phone call with Denmark's head of government, Mette Frederiksen, where he conveyed his serious consideration of the possibility of incorporating Greenland into the United States. According to the Financial Times, the dialogue lasted 45 minutes and was marked by tension.

Sources in the publication indicate that Trump reacted extremely negatively to Frederiksen's comments that the sale of the island is impossible. In turn, she proposed strengthening cooperation in defense and mineral extraction sectors, but this did not reduce the tension of the conversation. One participant noted that the discussion turned into a "cold shower" since initially, the U.S. president's statement was seen as a diplomatic maneuver, but now it is causing genuine concern.

Some European officials claim Washington's intentions about Greenland are so serious that Danish authorities are in a state of crisis preparation. In addition, Trump allegedly suggested the possibility of imposing tariffs on Denmark, which only intensified the strain.

The situation regarding Greenland is now not only the focus in Denmark but also across Europe, where people are closely watching for potential developments in the conflict.
