Trump Threatens Hamas: "If They Don't Release Hostages, Hell Will Break Loose"

Donald Trump has called for the cancellation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas unless the militants release all the hostages. The U.S. President warned that otherwise, "hell will break loose," reports NewsBox.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas should be annulled if the group does not release all remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip by the end of Saturday. As reported by the Associated Press, Trump emphasized that the final decision rests with the Israeli leadership, but warned of severe consequences if Hamas fails to meet the deal's conditions.

"I speak for myself. (...) Israel can cancel it," Trump stated, adding that if the militants refuse to comply with the conditions, "hell will break loose."

Earlier on Monday, Hamas announced it was postponing the release of a new group of captives, accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire terms. In response, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to be put on high alert.

The ceasefire between the sides was agreed upon on January 19, providing for the phased release of prisoners. In the first phase, Hamas committed to handing over 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for 1,500 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. Other details of the agreement for subsequent phases still require clarification, but ultimately, it aims to restore the destroyed infrastructure of Gaza.
