Trump Announces the Imminent Release of Another American Citizen

Donald Trump has announced that another American citizen will soon be released, although he did not disclose the individual's name. This statement was made amidst the return of Marc Fogel, who was freed as part of a deal with Russia, reports NewsBox.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that another American citizen will be freed shortly. However, he did not specify who it might be.

Previously, the White House announced the return of Marc Fogel, who had been sentenced in Russia to 14 years of imprisonment for drug smuggling. He was detained in August 2021 at Sheremetyevo Airport with medical marijuana. In the past, Fogel worked at the U.S. Embassy and later taught at the Anglo-American School in Moscow.

Trump mentioned that the terms of Fogel's release were "fairly reasonable," but did not provide details of the negotiations. It is expected that the U.S. may soon announce new agreements with Russia regarding the release of detainees.
