Trudeau Warns: Canada Faces Tough Times Due to Trump’s Threats

Justin Trudeau has warned Canadians about tough times ahead due to the possibility of Trump imposing a 25% tariff on imports, reports NewsBox.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that the country could face significant economic challenges in the coming weeks. This could be caused by trade measures that former U.S. President Donald Trump promises to implement if he returns to power.
"I'm not going to sugarcoat it - our nation might encounter difficult times in the coming days and weeks," noted Trudeau.
One of the main risks is Trump's threat to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico starting February 1st. This poses a serious risk to the country’s economy, as around 75% of Canadian goods and services are targeted towards export to the U.S. The introduction of these tariffs could lead to a decline in exports, increased unemployment, and an escalation of the economic crisis.
