Pope Francis Admitted to Rome Hospital

On February 14th, it was reported that Pope Francis had been admitted to Rome's Gemelli Hospital. According to the Vatican Press Office, the Pope was sent to the medical facility for comprehensive examinations and inpatient treatment for bronchitis, as reported by NewsBox.

"For the necessary diagnostic tests and inpatient treatment of bronchitis," stated the official communiqué, according to Vatican News.

In recent days, Pope Francis had mentioned several times his ailment, which hindered his ability to read prepared texts during catechetical instructions, homilies, and addresses. Nevertheless, on the morning of February 14th, he went through with all his scheduled appointments at his residence.

It is worth noting that this is already Pope Francis's fourth stay at the Gemelli Hospital.
