In this aviation disaster in Alaska, 10 people tragically died. The Cessna 208 Caravan, operated by Bering Air, was making a charter flight between the towns of Unalakleet and Nome on February 7th.
Shortly before landing, the aircraft vanished from radar over the Gulf of Alaska. Rescue teams launched a search operation, and the next day, wreckage from the plane was discovered. Nine passengers and the pilot were on board — none survived.
