Man with Knife and Molotov Cocktail Detained Near the Capitol in Washington

In Washington, police have detained a man carrying a knife and a Molotov cocktail who attempted to approach the Capitol building. His motives remain unknown at this time,<, reports NewsBox.  

In the U.S. capital, Washington, officers apprehended an individual who tried to reach the Capitol building while in possession of a knife and a Molotov cocktail. Law enforcement noticed the man behaving suspiciously and began to question him. The man claimed he had dangerous items, leading to his arrest for "illegal activities."

The specific motives of the detained man have not yet been disclosed. This incident is the third such occurrence within a month related to attempts to bring weapons to the Congress building. Earlier, on January 2, a vehicle with "suspicious contents" was stopped near the Capitol, and on January 9, police detained a man carrying a machete and three knives.
