Israeli Authorities Unveil Golden Pager Gifted to Trump

The Israeli authorities revealed the gilded pager that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted to Donald Trump during his visit to Washington, reports NewsBox.

This gift has sparked significant discussion as it alludes to a special operation carried out against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to BBC Russian Service.

As previously reported by the media, upon receiving the pager, Trump commented: "It was a great operation." In return, he presented Netanyahu with a joint photo inscribed with: "To Bibi, a great leader."

The controversy surrounding this situation is linked to events in Lebanon, where in September last year a series of explosions involving pagers and raids used by Hezbollah members occurred. These incidents resulted in the deaths of 37 people, including children, and wounded approximately three thousand others.

Official commentary from the Israeli authorities has not yet been made, but in international circles, there is ongoing debate about the political and ethical appropriateness of such gifts.
