The head of the Israeli government, Benjamin Netanyahu, warned that military operations in the Gaza Strip would restart if Hamas representatives do not free Israeli hostages by noon on February 15.
The decision, which I made and was unanimously approved by the cabinet, is as follows: if Hamas does not return our hostages by midday Saturday, the ceasefire will be canceled, and the Israeli Defense Forces will resume intense military actions until Hamas is completely defeated," stated the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces announced the cancellation of leaves for servicemen in operational units stationed in the southern part of the country. A decision was also made to deploy additional forces to the region to fulfill defensive tasks.
