Israel has formally announced its withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council, joining a similar decision made by the United States. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that the organization demonizes Israel while shielding human rights violators, reports NewsBox.

Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced that the country will cease participating in the UN Human Rights Council. He emphasized that Israel is following the example of the United States, which had previously left the council as well.

In his statement, Sa'ar criticized the Council, accusing it of systematically targeting Israel, ignoring human rights violations in other countries, and spreading anti-Semitic narratives. He argued that instead of genuinely protecting human rights and freedoms, the Council is engaging in deliberate attacks on Israel—the only democratic country in the Middle East.
