Is Google Following Trump's Lead? Company Excludes Diversity from its Priorities

Google's parent company, Alphabet, has removed diversity and inclusion from its workplace priorities. Their latest annual report for the SEC no longer contains commitments to DEI policies, which were previously part of their corporate principles, reports NewsBox.
As reported by Alphabet, the company that owns Google, they have stopped viewing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as key components of their policies. According to AFP, these commitments have been omitted from the new annual report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Whereas last year the company emphasized the importance of DEI in their 10-K form, declaring that inclusivity and equal opportunities were integral to their corporate culture, this point has been removed from the current document.
Previously, Wall Street Journal had reported on these changes, citing an internal letter from Alphabet employees. In response to AFP's inquiry, a Google representative noted that the company remains dedicated to creating equal opportunities for its employees but is reevaluating DEI-related programs in light of recent legal rulings and government directives.
It's worth mentioning that the dismantling of DEI programs at the federal level was one of the first actions taken by Donald Trump upon assuming office. He also encouraged private companies to abandon similar initiatives.
