Hamas Releases Three Hostages, Including a Russian Citizen

Hamas has released three hostages, one of whom is a Russian citizen named Sasha Trufanov. All of them have been handed over to the Red Cross and are being transferred to the Israeli military. As part of the agreement, Israel is set to release 369 Palestinian prisoners on February 15, reports NewsBox.

The three hostages, who had been held by Hamas since October 7, 2023, were released and turned over to Red Cross representatives. Among them is Russian citizen Sasha Trufanov, as well as Israelis Sagi Dekel-Hen and Yair Horn.

The transfer process took place in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, and was broadcast live. The freed individuals are being moved towards the IDF for further evacuation and medical examination.

This exchange marks the sixth under the agreement between Israel and Hamas. In response to the release of the hostages, Israel is to free 369 Palestinian prisoners on February 15, who are currently being held in jails.
