English Court Hands Life Sentence to Teen for Mass Murders

The UK has sentenced Akselya Rudakubana, found guilty of killing three children and attempting to murder ten people, to life imprisonment, reports NewsBox.

18-year-old Akselya Rudakubana, who admitted guilt for the murder of three children and the attempted murder of ten people, has received a life sentence with a minimum term of 52 years. The court also found him guilty of illegal possession of weapons, producing ricin, and possessing instructions from the internationally banned terrorist organization "Al-Qaeda".

Rudakubana, born in Wales to a family from Rwanda, carried out the attack at the Hope of Hart children's club in Southport, northwest England, when he was 17. During the attack, he used a knife on club visitors, resulting in the deaths of three children and serious injuries to nine people, including six children and two adults who were left in critical condition.

This crime sparked widespread public outcry in the UK, leading to national protests and unrest.
