"Canada – the 51st State?" Trump Makes Another Bold Statement

Donald Trump once again suggested that Canada become the 51st state of the USA, claiming that such a move would free Canada from tariffs and provide it with 'superior military protection.' According to him, without American subsidies, the country cannot sustain itself, reports NewsBox.
US President Donald Trump once more remarked on the potential of Canada's joining the United States, proposing it become the 51st state. He stated on the social media platform Truth Social that Washington spends 'hundreds of billions' of dollars annually supporting Canada, without receiving anything in return.
In Trump's opinion, without these subsidies, Canada cannot remain 'a viable country.' He asserts that joining the USA would offer Canadians 'much lower taxes,' 'better military protection,' and exemption from trade tariffs.
This commentary followed Trump's signing of a directive introducing new tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China. In response, Ottawa and Mexico City announced intentions to implement countermeasures.
