Zarnitsa events for preschoolers held in Tatarstan — children were taught demining techniques

In Russian kindergartens, large-scale "Zarnitsa" events have started, where children are taught to throw grenades, march in formation, and crawl on their bellies. In Tatarstan, the organizers even included field demining and first aid in the program, reports NewsBox.

Across Russia, kindergartens have launched a wide-reaching military-patriotic education campaign. Since the beginning of the year, preschools nationwide have been conducting "Zarnitsa"—competitions aimed at developing military skills in young children.

According to data from "VKontakte" publications studied by "Agency," children are being familiarized with military training through elements of army tactics.

In the town of Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan, a major event was organized by "United Russia" and local administration representatives. Sixty preschoolers from ten kindergartens participated in the competition.

As part of the challenges, they performed various military tasks:

- Practiced marching

- Threw grenades

- Provided medical assistance

- Completed a "demining" stage

- Learned about the history of Soviet Union Heroes

After completing the program, military personnel conducted the award ceremony, followed by a meal of field-style porridge for the participants. Organizers assert that the main goal of such games is to strengthen patriotic spirit and nurture "future defenders."
