Z-channels: Russian command conceals losses in the Kursk direction

Z-channels have accused the Russian command of falsifying reports about the situation in the Kursk direction, claiming that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) have advanced 5 kilometers in one day. Volunteers also assert that the losses among Russian military personnel continue to rise due to generals' mistakes. according to NewsBox

Amid the ongoing conflicts in the Kursk area, the Russian command faces harsh criticism from Z-channels and volunteers. According to them, the official reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense do not reflect reality, and the Ukrainian forces have managed to advance 5 kilometers southeast of Sudzha, despite claims of having defeated the enemy.

On February 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian army launched eight attacks, all repelled by using aviation and artillery. However, by February 7, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and Z-channels reported on the actual advances by Ukrainian forces.

Military volunteer Roman Alekhin accused the command in a post, stating that they concealed the true state of affairs and sent unprepared soldiers into battle, increasing the losses. General Suhrab Akhmedov came under particular criticism, with Alekhin describing his departure from the 20th army as a "celebration for everyone." He stated that Akhmedov's mistakes were costly for the Russian troops.

This isn't the first wave of criticism against Akhmedov. He was previously accused of issuing orders that led to a HIMARS strike on a gathering of Russian military personnel and failed operations near Pavlovka, where the 155th Brigade's marines suffered significant losses. Nonetheless, in December 2023, Putin awarded Akhmedov the rank of lieutenant general.
