Wife of Fallen Soldier Discovers Messages of Electric Shock Torture

The widow of a deceased soldier found unsent messages on his phone, describing his experiences of torture and lack of assistance, reports NewsBox.
A scandal erupted in unit 40463 of the 123rd brigade "LPR" after a widow revealed that her husband was declared dead several days before his actual death. She received his phone along with his body and discovered messages describing the brutal torture he endured.
Mikhail (name changed) was reassigned to the 1st battalion as punishment for being absent without leave. In April 2024, after being injured, he was in a hospital but returned home due to his child's serious illness. Upon returning, he was detained by military police and sent under the command of the notoriously harsh Aleksey Korchagin, known as "Cap."
Messages found on Mikhail's phone indicate that after being sent on an assault, he suffered a severe injury and lost a finger. He was beaten and tortured with electric shocks before being sent back to the frontline without receiving medical care. In July, he had to amputate the rotting finger himself.
Mikhail's last messages are dated July 26, despite the official certificate stating his death on July 22. In one video, he said he was still alive but in critical condition, pleading for evacuation. Assistance was never provided.
His family claims that the command declared Mikhail missing in action by the end of June, which allowed them to categorize his death as non-combat-related. The widow, left with two children, including a disabled child, continues to seek justice.
