According to Kozhemyako, Efremov served in the 'Tiger' unit and was constantly at the frontline. He lost his life on February 2nd in the Kursk region during a reconnaissance outing.

Telegram channel SHOT reports that the vehicle carrying the official hit a mine and exploded. Another officer also died alongside him.

Kozhemyako stated that Efremov's comrades are determined to 'avenge' his death and also promised to 'continue to strike the enemy.' No further details on the Vice Governor's death have been released yet.
