Ukrainian Armed Forces Attack Volgograd Oil Refinery with "Lyutyi" and PD-2 Drones

During the night of February 3rd, a large-scale drone attack occurred in Volgograd. Throughout the night, residents reported a series of powerful explosions in various parts of the city. According to preliminary information, the main target of the strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was an oil refinery (OR), reports NewsBox.
That night, a series of explosions echoed in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. Witnesses reported 10 to 20 loud bangs and bright flashes in the sky. Preliminary data suggest that air defense systems were activated near the local oil refinery, countering the attack from Ukrainian drones. Before this, residents heard the characteristic sounds of drones flying over the city.
Residents of Svetly Yar and the town of Leninsk, located 50 kilometers from Volgograd, also reported hearing the explosions. Some locals experienced power outages.
Sources indicate that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, "Lyutyi" and PD-2, which approached from the direction of Morozovsk (Rostov Region) and flew over the Kalach-na-Donu area. One of the drones was destroyed just behind a residential building in the Krasnoarmeysky district.
No official data on damages or casualties has been released yet.
