Two Workers Perish in Uralkali Mine in Solikamsk

In the Perm region, a collapse at the 'Uralkali' mine has resulted in the deaths of two workers. The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case regarding the violation of industrial safety standards, reports NewsBox.

In Solikamsk, on the premises of the 'Uralkali' potash mine, a cave-in occurred, leading to the death of two employees. The tragedy happened during an inspection of the mine workings connecting the underground facilities to the surface.

The official information about the workers' deaths was confirmed by Dmitry Makhonin, the governor of Perm Krai. Following the incident, the Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case concerning the breach of industrial safety regulations.

Specialists are working at the scene to determine the causes of the collapse. Meanwhile, the company management has not yet made any official statements regarding the incident.
