Transcription of AZAL Embraer 190 Recorder: Crew Unaware of 'Cover' Protocol

The committee investigating the Azerbaijan Airline Embraer 190 crash in Aktau has released a preliminary report. The document includes the transcription of the cockpit voice recorder, noting two impacts on the aircraft, loss of control, and a lack of information about the implementation of the 'Cover' protocol, as reported by NewsBox.
The commission studying the circumstances of the Embraer 190 crash in Aktau has published a preliminary report with the cockpit voice recorder transcription. The document records two powerful impacts on the aircraft, leading to key control system failures.
According to the audio recordings, the crew did not receive warnings about the activation of the 'Cover' protocol in Grozny, which involves closing the airspace. Unaware of the accident's causes, the pilots decided to fly to Aktau, having first checked the weather in Mineralnye Vody, Baku, and other airports.
The event chronology shows that after the first impact, the autopilot was disconnected, the rudder control system failed, and within seconds, the cabin depressurized. The second impact occurred 23 seconds after the first. Crew members reported exploding passenger seats, oxygen leaks, and deteriorating passenger conditions.
In the final minutes of the flight, the pilots attempted to stabilize the aircraft, but due to hydraulic, aileron, and elevator failures, control was compromised. At 09:27:58, the plane struck the ground.
The report also includes communications between air traffic controllers from different regions. It reveals that the 'Cover' plan was activated, but this information did not reach the Embraer 190 crew. Additionally, fragments of unidentified metal objects were extracted from the stabilizer and control mechanisms, suggesting possible external interference.
