An unknown individual set fire to three restaurants in downtown Krasnodar. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries, and an employee from one of the establishments detained the suspect, reports NewsBox.
A series of arsons occurred on the main streets of Krasnodar, reportedly orchestrated by a 19-year-old resident of the Dinskoy District. In the evening, around 10:20 PM, the 'MyasoLove' restaurant on Krasnaya Street caught fire. Witnesses say a man dressed in camouflage entered the venue, threw a backpack on the floor, and fled. The bag quickly ignited, and the fire rapidly spread throughout the building. Guests and staff managed to evacuate, with no reported injuries.
Thirty minutes later, the fire spread to the 'Goose' restaurant on Severnaya Street nearby. Staff managed to extinguish the flames before firefighters arrived.
Later, around 11:30 PM, a similar incident occurred at the 'Bumbara' restaurant, also located on Krasnaya Street. Employees independently contained the fire, evacuating 15 people.
The Emergency Situations Ministry of the Krasnodar Territory reports that a total of 102 people were evacuated. No official information on the causes of the incidents has been released, but it has been confirmed that a suspect has been apprehended.
Investigative authorities state that the 19-year-old claims he was following instructions from scammers in Ukraine. These criminals hacked his account, threatened to misuse personal data, and coerced him into committing the arsons. Case materials have been transferred to the Investigative Committee for further investigation.
