Serbian Prime Minister Resigns: Did the Mass Protests Pay Off?

Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević resigned following protests and the tragedy in Novi Sad, reports NewsBox.
Miloš Vučević, the Prime Minister of Serbia, stepped down just a day after President Aleksandar Vučić announced the urgent government reshuffle. This decision came amid months of protests sparked by the tragedy in the city of Novi Sad, where a collapse of a concrete canopy at a train station in November claimed 15 lives.
On Monday, demonstrators began a round-the-clock blockade of a major transportation hub in Belgrade, increasing pressure on the government. Vučević's resignation was an attempt to demonstrate the authorities' accountability to the public.
At an emergency press conference, Vučević stated that his decision was agreed upon with President Aleksandar Vučić, with whom he had a lengthy meeting. The Prime Minister noted that he considers this step crucial for strengthening trust in the country's leadership.
