Russia Records Its Worst Result in the Corruption Perceptions Index

Russia has fallen to 154th place out of 180 in the Corruption Perceptions Index, marking the country's worst result in the history of Transparency International's rankings. Compared to last year, the Russian Federation dropped by 13 positions, reports NewsBox.
In the latest Transparency International ranking, Russia secured 154th place out of 180, displaying the lowest result in all the years of observations. In 2023, the country was in 141st position but lost 13 places over the year.
Russia scored 22 points, which is on par with Lebanon, Honduras, and Azerbaijan. The higher the score, the lower the level of corruption: the maximum possible 100 points indicate the absence of corruption in a country.
Ukraine, on the other hand, improved its position, ranking 105th with 35 points. Last year, it was at the 106th spot.
Denmark has been the leader of the ranking for the seventh consecutive year (90 points), followed by Finland (88 points) and Singapore (84 points).
