Response to Drones: Moldova Closes Russian Center

Moldova has announced the closure of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Chișinău, effectively terminating the 1998 agreement with Russia. The official reason cited was airspace violations by Russian drones, reports NewsBox.
Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to close the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Chișinău, unilaterally dissolving the 1998 agreement with Russia.
The authorities explained this move by pointing to airspace violations by Russian drones. Specifically, on February 13, following the crash of a drone on Moldovan territory, the Russian ambassador, Oleg Ozerov, was summoned to Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In commenting on the situation, the diplomat urged the country's authorities and media not to make "hasty conclusions" about the incident. Nevertheless, Chișinău has already decided on a course of action that will lead to the closure of the Russian cultural mission in the country.
