Putin Awaits Call from Trump - Peskov

Presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov informed journalists that the President of Russia is ready to engage with Donald Trump. The Kremlin is simply awaiting a signal from the American side, reports NewsBox. 

According to Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president is prepared to receive a call from Donald Trump. However, he doesn't know when this might occur.

Putin is ready, we are waiting for signals. Everyone is prepared. Here, it’s hard to speculate. If something happens, we will inform you, - Peskov stated.

Additionally, Peskov added that the duration of the conflict with Ukraine "does not depend on global oil prices."

As a reminder, on January 23, during the economic forum in Davos, Donald Trump called on all OPEC countries and the leadership of Saudi Arabia to increase oil production. This would lead to a sharp decrease in barrel prices. Consequently, Russia would not be able to fund the war. Thus, military actions could be concluded as swiftly as possible.
