Powerful Earthquake Hits Altai Republic

A powerful earthquake was recorded in the Kosh-Agach district of the Altai Republic. According to the Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.4, with the epicenter located approximately 28 kilometers southwest of Kosh-Agach, reports NewsBox.

The intensity of the seismic tremors at the epicenter reached 8.5 on the scale, indicating a destructive force of the underground shocks. The regional Emergency Ministry reported that the earthquake was felt throughout the entire territory of the republic, writes Shot.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage. Rescue services continue to monitor the situation.
