Parents used herbal remedies: six-year-old child dies in Saint Petersburg

In Saint Petersburg, a six-year-old boy passed away after his parents, who adhered to alternative medicine, refused conventional medical treatment. Doctors were unable to save the child, reports NewsBox.
A six-year-old child in Saint Petersburg died due to his parents' refusal to seek medical help. Journalists discovered that late in the evening, the boy suddenly fell ill—he began losing consciousness and had difficulty breathing. Only then did his parents, Sergey and Valentina, call emergency services to their home in the "Druzhny-1" community. However, the doctors who arrived could only confirm the child's death.
It was later revealed that the family adhered to the principles of alternative medicine. The boy's father had distrusted doctors since childhood because his own mother died of cancer, which led him to believe in the ineffectiveness of traditional medicine. For over a month, the child had complained of chest pains and suffered from attacks, but his parents refused to give him any medication, opting instead for home remedies. They treated him exclusively with herbal infusions made from nettle, caraway, mint, and other plants.
From birth, the boy had never visited a doctor. The family also completely abstained from meat as part of their beliefs. Now, the circumstances of the child's death are being investigated by authorities.
