New Record! The Youngest "Extremist" Arrested in Russia

In Russia, 14-year-old Kirill Blokhin from Krasnoufimsk has become the youngest person to be named on the list of "extremists and terrorists" compiled by Rosfinmonitoring. He is accused of setting fire to a relay cabinet and faces charges of committing an act of terrorism, which carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison, reports NewsBox.

A new record for the youngest individual featured on Russia's list of "extremists and terrorists" has been set once again. The list, managed by Rosfinmonitoring, now includes 14-year-old Kirill Blokhin from Krasnoufimsk as its youngest member. He surpassed the previous "record holder" Nikolay Gorin from Ulyanovsk by 11 days.

Media outlets report that the teenager was allegedly detained in connection with an investigation into an arson attack on a relay cabinet on the Gorky Railway. The Transportation Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against him under the charge of "terrorist act." If found guilty, Blokhin could face up to 20 years in confinement.

A court has already ordered his detention as a preventive measure.
