MMA Fighter Shot in Krasnodar

An MMA fighter was shot outside a nightclub in Krasnodar. A disgruntled visitor, after losing a fight with the athlete, opened fire in response to his defeat. The victim suffered severe injuries, reports NewsBox.

A shooting took place near the Bijou nightclub in Krasnodar. Preliminary information suggests that the conflict started in the early hours of February 9th, when several patrons got into a heated argument with the club's security staff. The verbal spat quickly escalated into a brawl that spilled onto the street. As a result, one of the participants, 29-year-old MMA fighter Ruslan Kraynov, emerged victorious over his opponent.

However, the defeated individual was unwilling to accept the loss. He pulled out a traumatic pistol and fired several shots at Kraynov, hitting him in the eye and chest. The athlete was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The shooter attempted to flee the scene in a Ford Mondeo with an acquaintance, but was apprehended the following morning. The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Ilyas Khasiev from Chechnya. A traumatic pistol model TK1717 and 12 rounds were found in his possession.

Criminal charges for "Hooliganism" have been filed against Khasiev.
