Mizulina on the Resumption of TikTok's Activities in the Russian Federation
TikTok may fully resume its operations in Russia as early as this year, stated the head of the "Liga of Safe Internet," Ekaterina Mizulina, as reported by NewsBox.
The social network TikTok may begin operating fully again in Russia, according to the head of the "Liga of Safe Internet," Ekaterina Mizulina. According to her, the likelihood of this happening in 2025 is quite high.
Mizulina emphasized that TikTok is an important platform for engaging with the youth and Russian-speaking users worldwide. She added that the proper use of this platform opens up significant opportunities for working with the audience. It is well-known that Mizulina is actively involved in regulating content on the Russian internet.
Additionally, in the USA, TikTok has been banned; however, the situation may change after Donald Trump’s inauguration. In Russia, the social network faced restrictions on publications and live streams in 2022. This occurred after the adoption of a law that prescribes criminal penalties for the dissemination of "fake" information about the army. At that time, TikTok representatives referred to the measures as temporary.
