Medvedev suggests deporting drug-dependent and ill migrants

Dmitry Medvedev has proposed the immediate deportation of foreigners from Russia who are drug users or suffer from dangerous illnesses, reports NewsBox.

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, has called for the prompt deportation of foreign nationals who consume narcotics or have serious diseases. He made this statement during a meeting on the improvement of migration policy.

Medvedev emphasized that the presence of such migrants poses a threat to epidemiological safety and complicates efforts to combat crime. In light of this, he instructed the development of a system to prevent their legalization within Russia.

According to him, there are significant issues in the current deportation system. Processes are often prolonged, and in some cases, decisions are not enforced at all. Some foreigners with illnesses or addictions evade oversight and even obtain Russian citizenship. Medvedev described this situation as unacceptable and demanded the elimination of such loopholes.
