Mass Drone Attack on Russia: Fires, Explosions, and Evacuations

During the night, Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a large-scale drone attack targeting Russian regions. According to emergency services, air defense systems successfully destroyed 121 drones, reports NewsBox.

Ryazan: Around midnight, city residents heard more than ten explosions. A local oil refinery caught fire, reportedly due to drone debris. In the region, 20 drones were shot down, most of which were believed to be "Lutyi" kamikaze drones with a range of up to 1000 km, according to preliminary information.

Moscow Region: In Kolomna, Ramenskoye, Podolsk, and Schelkovo, air defense shot down several drones heading for the capital. Due to the threat, operations at Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Vnukovo airports were temporarily halted.

Saratov Region: At around 3 AM, attempts were made to attack Saratov and Engels. A total of 17 drones were neutralized.

Other Regions: 37 drones were destroyed in the Bryansk Region, 17 in Kursk, 7 in Rostov, 6 in Belgorod, 2 each in Oryol and Lipetsk Regions, and 1 in Crimea. In Voronezh Region, drone fragments damaged the windows of a multi-story building, but no casualties were reported.

Leningrad Region: In the morning, two drones were shot down near the village of Oredezh on the border with Novgorod Region.
Currently, airport operations in several Russian cities, including Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Nizhnekamsk, have been temporarily restricted due to the threat of attacks.
