Main Artillery Directorate Attacked in Tver Region

In the Tver region, drones attacked the ammunition depot of the 23rd Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) and the 'NPS Andreapol' oil pumping station. As a result of the strikes, buildings of the military unit and infrastructure of the station were damaged, leading to an oil spill and a fire, reports NewsBox.
During the night of January 29, the Tver region experienced a massive drone attack. According to the regional governor, at least 29 drones were used.
Journalists from ASTRA determined that over 20 drones targeted both the ammunition depot of the 23rd Arsenal of GRAU and an adjacent military unit in the settlement of Oktyabrsky, Toropetsky District. At the time of the strike, there were no munitions at the warehouse, but the facility itself was damaged. Additionally, three buildings of the military unit were destroyed.
This is not the first attack on the 23rd Arsenal. In September 2024, the site was also hit, with satellite images recording damage to 58 buildings of the depot.
Apart from the arsenal, drone strikes hit the 'NPS Andreapol' oil pumping station, owned by Transneft-Baltika, in the village of Erokhino. According to ASTRA's sources in the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), the attack damaged the communication building's roof, the operators' station, and the filtration pump area, resulting in a spill of oil products that caused a fire. There were no casualties or injuries.
The 'NPS Andreapol' is a key part of the Baltic Pipeline System-2 and one of the region's largest oil transport infrastructure objects. Constructed in 1982, it facilitates the transfer of oil along the Surgut – Polotsk route.
