Lukoil Refinery in Nizhny Novgorod Region Hit by Drone Attack

Drones have struck a refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region, causing a major fire. Firefighting efforts are underway at the site, reports NewsBox.

In the night leading into January 29, drones attacked in the Nizhny Novgorod region, impacting an industrial facility in Kstovo. Eyewitnesses report that the strike targeted the refinery, resulting in a blaze on the premises.

The region's governor, Gleb Nikitin, confirmed that remnants of a destroyed drone fell onto the industrial zone in Kstovo. Firefighters are currently battling the fire. Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties or injuries.

Kstovo is home to the "Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez" plant, which is considered one of the largest refineries in the country. This site was previously attacked by drones in the spring of 2024.
