In the Rostov Region, Two Ministers and Their Deputies Detained in One Day

In the Rostov region, another member of the regional government has been detained for the second day in a row. The Minister of Digital Development, Yevgeny Poluyanov, and his deputies, Kirill Dyachkin and Sergey Bondarenko, have been arrested on suspicions of abuse of power. Earlier in the day, the deputy governor was also detained, reports NewsBox.

In the Rostov region, high-profile detentions of senior officials are continuing. Following the morning arrest of the deputy governor and the Minister of Agriculture Konstantin Rachalovsky, law enforcement detained the Minister of Digital Development Yevgeny Poluyanov and his deputies, Kirill Dyachkin and Sergey Bondarenko.

As reported by 161.RU and RIA Novosti, these officials have become suspects in a criminal case concerning abuse of authority (part 3 of article 285 of the Russian Criminal Code).

According to the investigation, the Ministry of Digital Development secured a state contract worth 60 million rubles with LLC "Electronic Office Systems" as part of the "Digital Economy" program. The contract was intended for the acquisition of licenses for the "Delo" document management system with file editing capabilities. However, according to the FSB, the contract amount was inflated to more than four times the appropriate rate, and the licenses acquired actually pertained to a different service called "My Office".

The investigation is currently determining the extent of the detained individuals' involvement in the scheme, as well as any potential links to other corruption activities in the region.
