In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a Veteran Kills a Man at a Bus Stop

A brutal murder in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, has stirred up significant public outrage, reports NewsBox.

At the end of January, a participant in the '[Special Military Operation]' attacked 55-year-old Abubakar Umaev from Chechnya with a knife while he was simply sitting at a bus stop. The video of the attack has already circulated in local groups, according to Astra.

As reported by Umar Vakidov, a representative of Chechnya in the region, the victim had come to Dzerzhinsk for work. The attacker turned out to be a repeat offender who had previously served time in prison but was sent to fight in Ukraine as part of an assault unit.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, but the public is already questioning the consequences of such decisions involving the recruitment of convicts for combat and their reintegration into civilian life.
