Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin engaged in a 90-minute phone conversation, which the Kremlin deemed productive. According to Trump, they discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, the economy, and other topics, reports NewsBox.
On February 12, a phone call took place between the U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the conversation lasted approximately an hour and a half.
Trump described the dialogue as "long and very productive," noting that they covered issues such as the conflict in Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, energy, the development of artificial intelligence, and the dollar exchange rate.
The American leader also emphasized that he and Putin contemplated the "great history" of their countries and expressed a mutual desire to "stop the millions of deaths," referring to Russia's war against Ukraine. According to Trump, the Russian president even used his campaign slogan "Common Sense."
The Kremlin confirmed the conversation took place but declined to disclose additional details.
