An incident occurred at a training ground near the village of Dmitrovka in the Donetsk region, an area under Russian occupation. A mine exploded, resulting in injuries of varying severity to five Russian Armed Forces personnel, reports NewsBox.

According to information from ASTRA, among those injured is 21-year-old Denis Cherryayev from the Irkutsk region, who suffered a penetrating eye injury and has been hospitalized for medical treatment.

"As a result of the explosion, five military personnel sustained injuries, including 21-year-old Denis Cherryayev from the Irkutsk region, who has a penetrating injury to the eye. The young man is hospitalized," - stated a source.

The details of what happened at the training ground are being investigated. According to a preliminary version presented by the command, the explosion was caused by the careless handling of the mine by the military personnel.
