A major fire erupted in a building in the eastern part of Moscow, which previously housed the Elektrozavod factory. Currently, it accommodates a dance studio, and people were inside when the fire started.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), ten individuals suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning, including two children. It has been reported that around 40 people could be trapped on the upper floors, and rescuers are conducting an evacuation operation.

The fire was classified as a fourth-level hazard. Recent data shows that 90 people have been rescued, and another 120 evacuated on their own. Some of those trapped inside tried to escape by breaking down doors and smashing windows to climb down the balconies from the upper floors.
