Decimation of an Elite Division: Ukraine Claims to Have Destroyed a Russian Column Near Kharkiv

The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of an armored column from Russia's Kantemirovskaya Division during an assault in the Kharkiv region, according to NewsBox.

Ukrainian military forces announced the elimination of an armored convoy belonging to the elite Russian Kantemirovskaya Division, which was attempting to penetrate the Ukrainian defense in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, whose forces repelled the advance.

According to the unit, Russian troops tried to advance near the settlement of Pervomaiskoye, utilizing tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. The offensive was conducted by units from the 4th Tank Division of Russia's 1st Tank Army, regarded as an elite force in Russia.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the first two infantry fighting vehicles were sunk during a river crossing after coming under fire from Ukrainian artillery. Subsequently, the column was attacked by strike FPV drones, forcing the Russian infantry to disembark prematurely. They were later targeted by drone-dropped explosives and artillery strikes. During the battle, Ukrainian forces destroyed 10 pieces of armored equipment, including an armored recovery vehicle sent to recover the sunken equipment. Additionally, 10 Russian soldiers were killed, and 10 others were wounded.
