"Cover" Activated: Emergency Airport Closures in Russia

The "Cover" protocol has been initiated at seven Russian airports due to the threat from Ukrainian drones. Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft are in place at these seven Russian airports, reports NewsBox.

A heightened security protocol, "Cover," has been activated at seven Russian airports. Preliminary information suggests Ukrainian drones detected flying over several regions are the cause.

Since the early morning of February 15, temporary flight restrictions are in place at the airports of Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Grozny, Kaluga, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk.

Official sources have not yet commented on the duration of these restrictions.
